Happy 4th of July

This is a really long blog for a really long day. You might want to grab a snack and settle in if you are going to look at the whole thing. This is how our day began. Dustin took the girls to the dollar store to get supplies to decorate their bikes. We had a bunch of things planned. We had a bike parade and BBQ with the Bangerters in the morning and then we had another BBQ and fireworks that evening. So we got things going early in the morning.
We had a good time hanging out with everyone before the parade. This is Robin with her three boys. They are really cute little boys. Here is Jeana with her husband and three kids. They are really adorable kids. And let me remind you of their names, Jackson Rocket, Scotti Wasatch, and Cassy. Do you think they might be some sort of X-game participants? I think so.

This was the beginning of the bike parade. The kids all got in a line and rode their bikes around a little loop as the parents watched and clapped and cheered. It was really cute. Lilly wanted to join in as well so she followed the parade around the corner to see where they went.
Dustin ended up leading the parade, a little too over zealous you might say. JK
Lilly eventually followed them around the loop and she thought it was pretty fun, she was in the parade too.

This is the tractor parade. It was the best because let's be honest all the kids want is the candy from the parades. So Megan's husband Casey drove the tractor down the driveway and Sharon and Robin threw candy at the kids and they loved it!

This is Neil and his wife, and a couple os their boys, it's kinda a wierd picture of both of them, sorry. Then after the candy was all gone Casey gave the kids rides in the tractor up and down the driveway. They thought it was pretty cool. These are Robins boys with Josey and Maddy.

It was really hot here yesterday. It is nothing compared to Vegas but when you don't have air conditioning I think I was actually hotter than I had been in Vegas. So in between BBQ's Dustin took the girls out to the trampoline to cool them off a little and they had lots of fun.

We joined some friends of ours at a barbeque at the house behind Dustin. Their backyard opened up to this big field so the kids had lots of fun running around and playing with all the kids. Then we pulled our blankets and chairs out into the field and watched the fireworks right from there. It was pretty cool because there were literally fireworks going off all around us. I guess there is a factory in Canby that makes the big fireworks so there are a lot of licensed people. The amount of money that some of these private people must have spent on their fireworks was crazy but it was fun to watch. This is Lilly'e new favorite thing to do. She thinks it is hilarious.

This is all the kids catching the candy that was being shot in the air by.........
this potato gun!

Some of the men and kids went and played soccer out on the field. Maddy went out for a while but unfortunately for her she takes after me and Dustin and she came back bright red and overheated. Can you tell how happy she is? SO I gave her the camera and she took some pictures of the people playing soccer.

I was trying desperately to get a faily picture or a picture with all my girls but it just did not work out the entire day. SO SAD. I am excited though because we finally have a child that is not deathly afraid of the fire works. Lilly LOVED them and just kept daying "piiity" or pretty. Joselyn was STILL scared of them and Maddy acted like she was scared as well, only I think she was pretending. Loud noises just don't seem to really faze Lilly. She LOVES the Operation game that we have. She takes the little tweezers and makes it buzz over and over again, go figure.
We brought quite a few sparklers that all the kids enjoyed. Dustin was surrounded by them,

This is how our day finally ended. It was eleven 0'clock and we finally got everyone back to the van. Josey was OUT! Maddy was so tired she was practically crying in the back seat.
and Lilly........ was going strong! She was in the best mood just laughing and talking and smiling.

However within about ten minutes of the car ride home all the little girls were sound asleep. Check out Maddy in the back that is my favorite. She looks dead or something. Now unfortunately nobody slept in SO today should be a very interesting day to say the least.
