The fat lady has sang!

Well I just had to take a minute to say....HALLELUJIAH!!!! We had our last soccer game today and Dustin and I are SOOOOOOO happy to be done! It was a lot harder than we ever expected it to be but of course it was also more rewarding than we thought. I can honestly say that I will miss all the kids (well almost all the kids). I always thought that it would be the hardest to coach a kid with tons of energy bouncing of the walls. I found out that apparently I have a harder time with the disrespectful whiny ones. There was only one but when Dustin and i sat down to figure out things we could say about the kids on the team for the party I honestly had a REALLY hard time thinking of anything to say about this little girl. I felt really bad! We did finally think of something though.
The parents were SOO nice and so many of them were trying to talk us into coaching next year again (probably just so they don't have to do it)! I think this was our first and last time taking this on but I guess you never know. I am really proud of Josey for finishing out the season and letting mommy and daddy coach ALL the kids on the team. She is very proud of her trophy and came right home and started polishing it! It is the cutest trophy. It has a bobbly head and foot! How cute is that?
We awarded Maddy with some movie tickets at the party to thank her for being the assistant coach. Honestly I don' t think I could have done it without her. She helped with Lilly at EVERY practice and EVERY game. She kinda became our little babysitter so we could do our job. She was very proud to be recognized in fron of everyone and is excited to take someone to the movies.
I have never seen Lilly dirtier. She had mud EVERYWHERE, cake, pizza, sticky sucker stuff ALL OVER! I am so glad that this is over and I don't have to deal with her at the practices or games any more! YEEEAAAHHHH!!!!
How cute are these pictures! Joselyn looks so cute in her soccer pictures and I love that we have documented Dustin and I in the soccer photo with all the cute little kids on the team.

I am so very proud of all of you! What a family. I don't know why, but the soccer picture made me cry. You and Dustin look so grown up and Josey looks so cute and I know you couldn't have done it without the help from Maddy!and of course Lilly has been the little mascot. You all gained a great deal working and playing together!
Love,
Mom

Congrats! You made it through! You will probably be like us and swear that we will Never coach a team again, and then they call, somehow knowing that we are those sucker parents that CANNOT say no, and we say Yes, of course, and then we endure another season. But really, the kids love it. So that makes it okay.

WOW! I didn't know you guys were coaching! Maybe I did read that but there are too many blogs that I am checking these days so I'm bound to get confused. Anyhoo, sounds like a lot of fun-hehehe. Great pictures!!
