the mom equation?
3 hours cleaning bedroom and downstairs + 10 minutes later it looking like a TOTAL disaster + 2 trips to grocery store in one day + 25 seperate pieces of dress-up clothing strewn all over the house + 5 spilled peaches and juice on the carpet + 1 highchair tray full of food including but not limited to, lettuce, tomatoes, chicken, VERY ripe avocado and pita bread being flung onto the carpet + 1/2 a day worth of tantrums over a "sleeping" blankie and bottle + 6 feet tracking mud all over my downstairs carpet + 7 dollops of green diarrhea on the kitchen floor = 1 exhausted mom that is going crazy!!!!!

Oh Jess, that is so terrible!!! I hate days like that. Everytime I clean I have to prep myself by saying, "I am just getting the bottom layer of dirt off, and it will be dirty again in less than an hour, but at least it will be one layer cleaner!" This is not much comfort, but it keeps me going. Hang in there!
So sorry to hear you're going crazy! I hate times like this but Ihave to remind myself I would rather have kids that play then have them not want to or not be able to. As much as I love a quiet house now and then, I hate it when they are sick and not feeling like themselves. Hang in there and go on a date. Tell the sitter you'll pay her extra if she'll clean! ;)

I'm not the greatest in math, but I do know that the answer to the mom equation will always be the same no matter how you add it up! I'm having one of those days today as well!!! I love spending my day cleaning up after everyone only to have it completely destroyed hours later. Although I don't have diarrhea on the floor......
