We decided to drive out to the tulip festival this weekend. I need to put a disclaimer in here at this point and tell you that these pictures in NO WAY do the beauty of this place justice. I can honestly say this was one of the most beautiful places I have EVER been! It helps that tulips are my favorite flower as well. Here are a few pictures that I chose to TRY and display the beauty of the fields. It was SUCH a beautiful day that you could even see Mt. Hood in the background.
They did such a good job of making it a really fun and family friendly place. There were so many things to play on and do for the kids and they had SO much fun. I think we were there for almost three hours. They of course also had the activities that cost money like pony rides and jump houses but with the three kids we just can't afford to let everyone do it anymore so we bypassed those and the girls were just fine.
I am really trying to be better about not posting a thousand pictures but it is so hard for me to choose which ones to put up! So there are still a lot of pictures on this post but let me just say that between Dustin and I we took almost 100 pictures! So I think I did pretty well of narrowing it down.
It was called The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm......which is why Maddy is standing in HUGE wooden shoes! I actually got a picture of all three of the girls standing in the wooden shoes but again I am REALLY trying to cut down on the amount of pictures I post.
Everyone got to pick their favorite color tulip to get their picture taken with.
We did let the girls do one thing that cost money. We went on the little cow train ride. It was actually really fun and they took us all around the flowers and it was the best way to see them all with little legs.
Lilly ended up sitting with Dustin for the actually ride but of course she had to have her own seat.
I think Dustin had the best time of all. How did they know his nickname was Betsy?
They had these really old steam engines driving around the farm as well. They were really fun to see but the people driving them were seriously scary! I wish I had got a picture of them but imagine scary backwoods people....then times that by 10.
Lilly playing with the cow.
The cutest little tulips in the field.
There was also this really pretty garden that they had and the girls decided to relax on the soft grass.
I took this picture of this really hot guy that I walked by. I just had to take a picture because he was the most attractive man I have EVER seen. Obviously he didn't think it was that weird I was taking a picture of him he smiled for it.

They had this adorable little house to play in in the garden. I think the girls could have spent three hours there alone.

That looks like so much fun. I love tulips.
How fun! You have such a good looking family!
I say, post as many pictures as you want to! They are so fun to look at. I would love to see that place.
And I have to say that my favorite picture is of Lilly and Dustin outside the restaurant. Probably not so funny for you guys, but that picture really does tell it all. Loved it!
I have to agree with Wendy's whole comment. All of the pictures were super cute..but the last one was the best!!
SO FUN! I've always wanted to go see the tulip fields! The pictures are beautiful, I can only imagine how great it was in person. Glad you guys had a great time!
I bet that place was gorgeous in person!! Great pictures of all of you. What do they do with all those tulips? Are you able to buy them?
They have tons to buy which I did! There was no way I was leaving that place without tulips! But I am not sure what they do with all the tulips in the fields. They have already bloomed so I don't know if they use them for their bulbs or something because they sold those as well. I asked Dustin the same question!
How gorgeous! How fun! When we lived in northern Ohio, I was so sad that we never went to the tulip festival in Holland, Michigan. Tulips are my favorite flower. These pictures are just amazing.
p.s. HOORAY for Maddy's joints.
You guys always find the funnest things to do as a family! Love it!
