So I finally met with my doctor today and the nurse asked me if I wanted the doctor to check me today. Does that seem weird to anyone else? I have 11 days left? I have always been checked multiple times before now. And it has never been my choice. I told her that yes I would like to know what is going. So here is the big news......I am dilated to a 4. Woo Hoo! Now before anyone gets too excited let me just follow this up with the fact that I was dilated to a 4 and 90% effaced with Josey for 2 weeks before she decided to make her entrance on her due date. No early labors for me. So I am not holding my breath that she is going to come early but it is just nice to know that things are moving along. And my doctor is going on vacation.....again. I am not kidding this happens with EVERY one of my babies. I am always due around the doctors vacation time. So she came into the room and asked if I would be okay with inducing me a little early if I don't have the baby. I looked at her and started laughing and told her that it was my dream that she would walk into the room and say that to me. So we have a tentative induction date for next Thursday evening or early Friday morning. So, 1 more week or less! I can do it....I think! Now we just have to actually agree on a name.
And why does it seem that there are a multitide of things that need to be done right around the due date of this baby? I guess that is what you get when you have multiple kids but between 2 big projects that both Maddy and Josey need help with that are due right before the due date and right after the due date, I am hoping that this week will fly by.
On a side note Dustin's office is giving him a baby shower today. Isn't that nice? Dustin was so funny today and called to tell me that it was at 4:30 if I wanted to come. I told him to have a great time at his first baby shower. He said that he felt bad because he has such an insignificant part. And I had to remind him that he actually had A LOT to do with this baby and that it is both of ours! Granted he may not have to be pregnant, or suffer that baby out in a few days but I am excited that he will get to have a little party for our baby. I figure after me getting to have 3 baby showers for the past 3 babies, he deserves to have one this time. And thanks to everyone in Dustin's office!

LOL....LOL I would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall at that baby shower for Dustin.....still laughing thinking about it....and HIP HIP HOORAY for being induced. Its LOVELY! You can have your epidural before you feel the pain...its gonna be a BREEZE if you are already a 4! YEAH YEAH YEAH! Let us know for sure the day you decide to have the baby...we are so excited for you.
