First grade graduation

First grade graduation......yes I said FIRST GRADE graduation. I would like to know where else you have a graduation from first grade? Seriously it is getting a little excessive. This is the third year in a row that Maddy has gotten a diploma! Preschool, Kindergarten and now first grade. She was excited about though and the teachers certainly went all out even icluding a red carpet for the kids to walk down. They had speakers and sang songs and the principal gave them each a diploma as they walked across the make shift stage. It was really quite funny.
