Lilly was being VERY quiet today and I went to look for her and this is where I found her. She had gotten open a thing of Pringles and was wearing her favorite hat. She loves to wear this witch hat. This picture cracks me up because it looks like a hat with legs. The headless baby....
......peek-a-boo.....
.....cheeeeeeeeeese! My sister-in-law posted something about hiring a babysitter for stake conference as a joke. But it got me thinking about how hard church is at this age! Lilly is officially eighteen months and so you would think YEAH THE NURSERY! BUT we are dealing with two problems. One we go to church at 11:00. Now I like that time for me. It gives me enough time in the mornings to not have to get up TOO early to get myself ready get all the girls bathed and dressed and hairclips in and to get the babybag packed, and dinner cooking. BUT it is the absolute WORST time for a baby Lillys age. It is RIGHT in her nap time. We can't get her down before we go because it is too early and so she is dog tired all through church but especially during nursery time. The other problem is that I can't help at all for the last two hours of church. I am in the primary playing the piano and so Dustin gets to "play" with Lilly for the last 2/3 of church. I usually take her during Sacrament meeting so that he doesn't have to have her the entire time but it is still hard. And as much as Dustin has said he really enjoys the time with Lilly it is still hard to sit in the nursery and roam the halls for two hours. It's hard to leave a crying child in nursery but I have been the one to really deal with the first two and so it has been fun to watch Dustin peeking in the nursery window to make sure she isn't crying and popping in and out to make sure she doesn't get too freaked out. It is funny how your perspective changes as you have more kids. I look at Lilly and I feel like she is too little to be in the nursery. I don't remember feeling that way with Maddy and Josey. But with Lilly I would rather just keep her with me for a few more months because she just looks so little to me still. Dustin does such a good job though and Lilly totally associates church with daddy. When I take her out for Sacrament meeting because she only lasts like five minutes, she usually starts crying and just wants to stand at the chapel doors and call for daddy. Anyway, this age will be over too soon and then we will have NO excuse to roam the halls so we should probably just enjoy it while it lasts. just kidding

Those pictures made me laugh so hard! How cute! I feel with you about church. I had to go to nursery with Ashlynn until we moved...that's right. Basically for a whole year! Now she loves nursery because she is the only kid! That's fine with me for now! But Ash does NOT know how to whisper in church and seeing how our ward is 75% older people and Ash the only kid..everyone hears EVERYTHING she is saying! oh well...we get blessings for going right?? :)
Church feels like such a waste sometimes when you have a toddler. This past Sunday, Mason literally slept the first 2 hours of church on a chapel bench and then the 3rd hour I had to sit with him in the hall because he refused to stay in nursery. So fun!

Lilly looks so cute!
I love the witch hat pictures!
I think that the whole church issue is the only reason Gary would even consider having another child-so that he would have an excuse to roam the halls during a boring sunday school lesson. :-) When your baby is 5, like ours is, you have to actually listen for 3 hours!
I LOVE these pictures of LIlly! They are so cute!
