My sister-in-law blogged about a friend of a friend's blog where the girl has recently been diagnosed with cancer. She is young and has three young boys and I felt compelled to find her blog and read about her and her life right now. She has written about how her boys are dealing with the news and of course as a mom that is what shoots right to my heart. She ended a post saying that mommies should not be allowed to die. It always puts everything back into perspective. We have some friends back in Vegas that have been going through something similar and it is so enlightening to check up on their blog as well and hear about the things they are thankful for. So thank you again Liz. These are a few of the things I am thankful for of the top of my head. I know this is more like a journal entry but this blog spot has pretty much turned into that cathartic journalling I need.
I am thankful for my life.
I am thankful that I am not dying.
I am thankful for my husband. He is the passion in my life.
I am thankful for my three beautiful daughters. And for their vastly different personalities that bring so much into my days.
I am thankful for my working body.
I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to REALLY know my kids by getting to stay home with them.
I am thankful for my family, especially my sisters and mom who help keep me sane and always give me someone to just talk about nothing too.
I am thankful for my mind and the way it works.
I am thankful for silly reality shows like dancing with the stars that make me for a little bit forget the stresses of the day.
I am thankful for beautiful things, like fall leaves changing, waterfalls, horizons, and Monet.
I am thankful for rain. I love rain.
I am thankful for old friends and for new ones and the different memories you have and create from both.
I am thankful for my over active emotions because it enables me to REALLY feel so many things in this life.
And most of all I am thankful for the gospel and for my Savior. I am truley thankful for the knowledge I have about this life and the next and that Jesus Christ has made it possible for me to feel joyful with that knowledge.
