One last post for today. I forgot to update about Maddy's news. Do you notice anything missing from these pictures? That is right Maddy's glasses are gone! Now before anyone thinks that we have finally improved her eyes enough to not have to use the glasses anymore sadly that is not the case. BUT the doctor suggested that due to her difference in perscriptions for her eyes she should be wear contacts to help with her depth perception and hand eye coordination. So my seven year old wears contacts! She loves them and is so excited to put them in and out every day. I think it makes her feel VERY grown up! I have to say that I didn't realize the impact wearing contacts would have on our relationship with her eyes. I never have to worry anymore where she took her glasses off, if they are broken, or replace them when she inevitably loses them. I am SOOO excited about that. I don't have to worry about her eyes during the day because she can't just take the contacts out during the day. She is a natural I have to say as well. She puts them in by herself and takes them out by herself, something that I didn't expect!

Wow I'm impressed---most little kids wouldn't be able to handle contacts. Way to go Maddy! My 12 year old nephew needed contacts but he was too chicken to put them in himself everyday!
Maddy you look great! And you are so lucky...I didn't get contacts till 8th grade!

I'm so excited that Maddy can have contacts!! She looks so grown up. I have to agree with Ann, thank goodness they let them have contacts earlier! Maybe Ash won't have to wear glasses too long if she inherits my GREAT vision!!
WOW. I do not think that I could tough my own eyes to put contact in.
Holy cow!! I can't believe she's doing it by herself- I was in 9th grade before I was brave enough! That's great though, it's probably easier on all of you now!
She looks so good, I have never heard of someone that young wearing contacts. Good for her. How do you get such cute backgrounds on your blog?
Yea for Maddy!! Wow, I am impressed! 7 yr.s old, and putting in her own contacts! I'm scared have to death of contacts!! I can't put them in for the life of me. Now I really feel stupid!! ;)
That's great that she can do her own contacts. Cute smile too! I can't believe how grown up your kids are!
You look great Maddy! Hey, jess, that last picture totally looks like Olivia, I think. especially if you cover maddy's chin and mouth, her nose, and eyes look like 0livia.
Maddy, you look adorable as always! I am impressed that you can put the contacts in all by yourself! I don't even know how to do that!
Love, Grandma Beth
