Lilly with her very own birthday card!
The two weeks before Lilly was born I completely lost my voice. When I say completely I mean COMPLETELY! All I could do was whisper for almost three weeks. So for her delivery we pretty much had a silent birth. It is really funny how people react when you whisper. Even though they don't have to whisper they almost always do. So all the doctors and nurses were all whispering at me and Lilly came out the most calm quiet baby. I think maybe the Scientologists might have one thing right with the silent birth thing (and I really think that might be all they have right).
It's funny to look at this picture because she almost looks chubby but at this point I think she was under 6 pounds! She still has fairly chubby cheeks though! I just remember her being SO small!
I'll be honest, I never thought that I would have three girls. I would have bet money that Lilly would have been a boy before the technician told me she was a girl. I was so sure that I even held on to a scrap of a feeling that she might still come out a boy all the way until I held her. I had a hard time even thinking of girl names throughout my entire pregnancy. When I finally came to terms with having a third girl all I could think of was that I really wanted to name her Lilly. Unfortunately we had left the hospital already turning in her birth certificate application for Savannah Elizabeth Moyes. As you know that is not her name. After about a month of being Savannah and I don't think ever being called Savannah, Dustin and I came to the conclusion that that was not her name. We tried Lilly on for size and that was the point that I really finally came to terms with my third girl. My beautiful little Silly Lilly.
First bathing suit!
I love this picture of Lilly and Dustin.
One of my all time favorite pictures of Lilly. She had crawled into the shower while I was in it and thought it was the greatest time ever.
Lilly one year ago today.
Look at that belly!
And then the curls started to come. Oddly enough that was about the time that my very docile easygoing Lilly changed into Mr. Hyde! I think all you with curly haired kids out there were right. There is something about those crazy curls that must influence her crazy personality. And honestly I wouldn't change her crazy unruly curls or her crazy unruly personality. She has been obsessed with my earrings for a very long time.
Eating bluberries
Thoroughly enjoying her "gingerbread house"
We are ushering in the terrible two's with a vengeance. I am excited and terrified to see what this year will bring for you and me. Even still I love you my sweet Lilly and wouldn't trade you for all the boys in the world! Happy 2nd Birthday!

What an absolutely adorable girl. I loved looking at those pictures! At least she is not a boring child!
Happy #2 Lilly! I truly think it's the 3rd girl thing! Carly was such a sweetie until she turned about 20 months, and it's been down hill since then! I feel your pain on all the spills- her and Carly are kindred spirits! Prepare yourself, birthday #3 has been harder then #2!
Happy Birthday. Jess I just got your message, is it too late now? I never look on my cell phone sorry. It is usually lost.
Happy Birthday Lilly! We all hope you have a great day!
I loved looking at all your pictures and I remember your name dilemma - Lilly fits her perfectly! I was also going to say the the twos aren't that terrible for us either, it's the threes!!
Watch out :)
It is so crazy. I was looking at the pictures of Lilly as a baby and I swear it was just yesterday!! She is SO adorable!! At least you have fun stories to tell right? :)
Caitlyn was HORRIBLE from 18 months to 2 1/2. She still has a melt down occasionally. But she is so much better. Hang on. She's sure adorable though!
