We try to take Saturday usually and finish our chores in the morning and then go do something as a family. I know personally I look forward to it all week. It is a fun time we can spend as a family enjoying each other. Well this past Saturday was packed full of things between birthday parties and conference and....well golf.....that we decided to do something fun on Friday night. This is where we ended up.......
the mall. Always a fun family hang out right? I talked Dustin into taking the girls to see the Easter Bunny. So we headed out at about quarter to five thinking that we could get in and out and then get back for dinner. We didn't want to eat out. So we got into the mall and realized that we had parked on the opposite side from where the bunny is.....why does it ALWAYS work that way? at least for me? It doesn't matter what store I am trying to go to I ALWAYS park the farthest away possible! SO we make it over to the Easter bunny. As we walk up they are putting up the sign that the Easter bunny is taking a break and won't be back until 6:30. So we went over to the little play place trying to kill some time.
On a side note this was the first time that Maddy hasn't wanted to play at the play place. I was a little surprised. Usually we get there and she is running around with Josey climbing on everything and pretending to be some sort of an animal. This time she just sat next to me for a while and kept insisting that she didn't really want to play. It kinda made me sad a little bit to think that she is growing up. Dustin took her with him to go in a couple of stores and look at sports paraphernalia and she was happy. Josey "babysat" all the little babies playing in the area and Lilly didn't go more than 15 feet from where I was sitting.
After about 20 minutes we realized that we weren't going to make it home for dinner. So we walked to the opposite side of the mall again to eat at Chili's. My kids proclaimed Chili's as their favorite restaurant. Good thing it was in the mall!
Afterwards we FINALLY made it over to the Easter bunny!
I was trying to take a picture of the all the girls in their bunny ears but they were on their Heely's WAY ahead of Lilly and me. Those things are a liability waiting to happen I tell you. But Lilly wanted to pose for me.
This last picture is just a cute one of Dustin and Lilly. Lilly was having so much fun dressing up and playing with Daddy. She had her yellow shirt on, her princess skirt, her golden shoes and her "Ursula" headband and was happy to have her prince dancing with her.
