interesting Easter photo shoot

So I tried to get the girls all ready early for church so that I could TRY and snap a few cute pictures of them all dressed up in their matching Easter dresses. Maddy and Josey begged me to just let them wear their hair down so that is what we did. We desperately need a new camera. My camera STINKS and it doesn't make taking nice pictures very easy.

We started outside and really I don't know why. It was raining so we couldn't actually go anywhere that had a nice backdrop. So we stood on the porch with the neighbors house in the background.

Maddy wouldn't stop making that face when she was smiling. And I couldn't pry those ratty snow white shoes off of Lilly's feet.
I did finally get this one after a while that was cute even though Josey is halfway hidden and Lilly apparently had a jelly bean or something in her mouth. But this is one of those pictures that when I look at it I think the three of them are going to love this picture when they are all grown up.

Then I tried to get one of everyone by themselves.

Maddy's turned out fine.

Josey refused to be in the picture unless she could have her umbrella from the Easter Bunny.

And these were the two I got of Lilly before the older girls started running and laughing out in the rain and I made them go inside. And I will admit that a car drove by.......and I was in my bathrobe and so I ran inside.

So then I tried to get a cute one on the stairs.

Maddy's was cute.

Josey's was cute.

And Lilly is having smiling issues.

And then it turned into this......

And I decided that those actually captured my girls and the day so we left it at that. I always have this idea that I want to get a "perfect" picture of my girls were they are standing there looking nice but the truth is that is not my family. I have crazy, semi-out of control, happy, excitable girls and I wouldn't change it.

We ended off the day with all us girls watching the Sound of Music, one of my favorite movies. I was so excited because my girls really WANTED to watch it and even Lilly sat there and loved it! We sing the songs from that movie all the time but Josey and Lilly had never really seen it and so they were excited to recognize the songs. It made me happy to have girls. It is exciting to have them get older and actually want to watch some of the movies I love and hopefully they will love them too. Dustin was upstairs with the door closed trying to watch something manly I am sure.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Hah! I went through the same thing trying to get decent pictures of all 3 girls- Carly would make a weird face or do something weird- but it really made me crazy when Lexi did it- at 9 aren't they suppose to know how to smile and hold still for the picture?! We couldn't do outside pictures, it was pouring buckets! The girls look so cute, I love the one where they are all 3 hugging each other- so sweet!

The funny thing is, those ARE perfect pictures! Your girls' personalities totally shine through. And that's what makes them perfect! I SO want Camryn to have sisters!

That was hilarious and so true. I forced my kids out of the car so that we could get their pictures taken before church. That was my only hope. It is great to see your family too. They are so cute!!!
